Grand Canyon and Page
For our first weekend in Arizona we traveled to Grand Canyon National Park. We stayed in Page, AZ Friday night- it's about half way to the Grand Canyon from Winslow. One of the doctors at the clinic we are working in lives in Page and he told us directions. Driving to Page we realized that there is nothing in Arizona but rocks, dirt and beautiful views. It was like driving on Mars! We took the "scenic route" on the way there which I think should be renamed "you better have a full tank of gas route." We drove through a few little villages and through the Navajo reservation.

We drove to the NORTH RIM of the Grand Canyon and it was beautiful. We didn't realize until almost sunset that the most beautiful views were at Point Imperial and Cape Royal. If anyone is visiting the Grand Canyon soon I strongly suggest going to these two points- it was worth the drive.
